A guide to different kinds of ebooks in our collection

We have ebooks from several different vendors. Books from each vendor work in slightly different ways. For more information on each vendor, click the tabs.

Ebsco ebooks are both the most plentiful, and the ones that require a little more setup than the others.

Ebooks from Cambridge University Press, De Gruyter, JSTOR, and Project Muse are all DRM-free and easy to use. When you find them in our catalog:

  1. Click the link.
  2. Log in as prompted if you're off-campus. No login is required on-campus.
  3. Read the book on the website; or download the book to your personal device chapter by chapter as a PDF.
  4. You can read the the chapters of the book in any PDF reader, or you can add them to your book reader of choice: Kindle, iBooks, Nook...anything.
