Ebooks: Ebsco

A guide to different kinds of ebooks in our collection

In brief, there are four ways to read Ebsco ebooks:

  1. Read them on the Ebscohost website.
  2. Read them using the Ebsco Mobile app.
  3. Download individual pages or chapters as PDFs, usually up to a maximum of 100 pages per day.
  4. Borrow, for 14 days, an entire book to read on your tablet or browser.

Fuller information:

Reading Ebsco ebooks in a browser is straightforward. If you're off-campus, you'll be prompted to enter your Library login.

To download Ebsco ebooks, or to read them using the Ebsco Mobile app, you need to create a separate login.

  • Go to EBSCOhost (if you're off-campus, you have to be logged in on the Library's set to get there).
  • Click the Sign In link along the top of the page.
  • Click Create a new Account.
  • Enter the relevant information--and store or remember your Username and Password.

Download the Ebsco Mobile app from your device's app store.

For more detailed information, including helpful video demonstrations, see Ebsco's own guide to EBSCOhost.

Ready to go? You can find the ebooks in our catalog, like any other part of our collection. Or you can browse through them all together on the EBSCOhost website, or in Ebsco Mobile.
